Enjoy a taste of happiness at the best restaurants

The best part of a vacation on Bald Head Island is enjoying the amazing restaurants. The area offers everything from fresh seafood on the waterfront to burgers and pizza for those craving something a little more casual.

Claude Pope, owner of Maritime Market, is making it his mission to make the area a culinary destination. He has recently expanded the market with a cafe, catering service and Side Wok with Asian food.

Jules’ Salty Grub Island Pub

Located at the entrance to the Atlantic Gulf Stream and Cape Fear River, Bald Head Island is a small North Carolina island that is only accessible by ferry. With a rich history, the island has played an important role in two American wars.

Bald Head Island restaurants and dining venues range from the upscale Aqua to the casual poolside eatery Latitudes, plus the gastropub-style Palms and Grille Terrace restaurants. Full or temporary membership to the club is required for access to these restaurants.

Discover a coastal pub experience with Southern favorites and incredible seafood dishes at Jule’s Salty Grub Island Pub, which opened in 2019. Then grab a quick bite to go from the grab-and-go lunch options like sandwiches and wraps. Aqua

Located at the southern tip of Cape Fear and at the intersection of the Atlantic Gulf Stream and Cape Fear River, Bald Head Island is home to quiet unspoiled beaches, maritime forests, golf courses, clubhouse facilities, a marina, restaurants, coffee ice cream, and so much more. Getting to the island requires a quick ride on a private passenger ferry.

There are a number of great restaurant options on the island, from casual poolside fare at Aqua to upscale club dining at the Shoals Club. Other club-member restaurants include Latitudes, which offers a more casual menu, and the Sandbar Grille, which is more of a pool bar with easy food like burgers and sandwiches. The Maritime Market is also home to several small restaurants including Copper’s Wood-Fired Kitchen with pizza, Sweet Bay Cafe and Catering with wraps and Asian cuisine, and Side Wok.
