To make your United Airlines flight smooth and stress-free, it's important to know their carry-on size policy. Each passenger can bring one carry-on (9” x 14” x 22”) and one personal item (9” x 10” x 17”) onboard. However, those flying Basic Economy are restricted to only a personal item unless they meet certain exceptions. Bringing a larger bag in Basic Economy will result in a $25 gate handling fee, plus additional checked baggage fees. Travelers on United Express regional flights may also be required to gate-check their carry-on due to space limitations.
