Aomori Prefecture, located in the northernmost region of Japan's Honshu Island, is a place rich in cultural heritage and natural beauty. The Aomori Ringo Matsuri (Apple Festival) can be an annual event that highlights the prefecture's status as Japan's top apple producer. Held in Hirosaki, the festival offers apple-picking experiences, apple-themed food contests, and even apple cider tastings. Another exciting autumn event could be the Oirase Stream Autumn Festival, where visitors can enjoy guided hikes through the vibrant fall foliage of the Oirase Gorge.
